Q -- What is the VIP Lounge?
A -- A place for special downloads you'll only find here at RoS Forums.
Q -- How do I get in?
A -- There are many ways to get into the VIP Lounge. Currently you just need an active presence on the boards. This means posting and helping others, with tips or tricks, links to tutorials, sharing your own--be it tutorials, resources or Poser freebies. Please note that the requirements to gain access to the VIP Lounge may be changed at any time. You don't just get to sign up to the forums and gain access immediately....it's something you have to earn.
Q -- But...why do I have to go through all of that?
A -- VIP downloads are more than your average freebie here and there. A great deal of work goes into them, and you're not paying for anything. The VIP downloads are special gifts to our participating members.
Q -- Who creates the VIP packages?
A -- Myself and other members who wish to contribute.
Q -- Can I contribute to the VIP downloads?
A -- You certainly can. I just ask that you send me the files so I can host all VIP downloads together in one spot on my server.
Q -- Can I link VIP downloads to other places?
A -- You cannot link the VIP downloads to other sites. You may share the link to the all access preview forum to show something off if you wish. If I find someone has linked the downloads outside of the VIP forum, they will loose access to the VIP area. A warning will be given in private. Any individual who continually attempts to make a mess of things will be banned from the forums entirely.
Q -- Can members make requests for special VIP projects?
A -- You can certainly make requests. Just keep in myself and other contributors also have our own little projects, so it might take some time to get your request into the work pile. Don't expect your request to be ready for download the day after you post it.
Q -- What about regular freebie downloads?
A -- I can host your freebie if you need a spot for it. It will be posted to the regular members download area. This is restricted from non-members simply to keep an eye on bandwidth, as I have many of my own freebies for the public at large as well on my main website. I will not budge on this. If I find you've linked your freebie to other high traffic sites like Renderosity, it will be pulled and you will lose whatever forum extras you might have gained. A warning will be given. If it happens more than once, the files will be pulled and the individual will be banned from the forums. It is my bandwidth, and I am chosing to share it. Don't abuse it and you won't lose it.
