Found this little thing....I have no idea when I wrote it or why I wrote it or what I was ever going to do with it....but it's an interesting bit of my insanity....and well.....just have to share those sometimes.
Does eternity really have to be so dull and boring? Not that I've honestly been stuck where I am forever - but it's been more than long enough. Mostly, I sleep. But even that gets dull and monotonous. (strange thought, that one...isn't it?) I suppose I've gone a bit mad upstairs, a bat in my belfry - the list could go on, but that's enough of being annoying.
I'm not of the flesh, but the spirits don't seem to like me much either. So I can't really tell you what I am - and no, I don't remember who I am...or where...or when...I'm from. I just know I've been this way for quite some time.
I guess I could be called a memory, a whisp of an idea floating about. Yet I don't think I would make the best of muses, rather snotty lot they are anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much. I prefer being the dustly cobweb in the overlooked forgotten corner of the attic. As long as there's a window, there's always one hell of a view. Nope, nothing special about me. Just your ordinary...whatever I am. So I sit, and I watch, and yes, of course there's sleep. All these people scurrying about their lives, they do make for an interesting afternoon.
Rather silly of me to bring time up again. An afternoon for me could be 100 normal people years - if I wanted to drag it out that long. But then we're back to the "eternity is such a drag" conversation...and that one get's real old real quick (trust me on that one).
I'm sure it's more exciting for those with a role to play. All those snobby muses seem to think things are just grand, and they just might be....until they squish you to nothing with their designer spike heels. That's right folks, all those pictures you've seen of lovely innocent women with the long wavy hair and folds of flowing silk are wrong. That's the image they want you to see. Most people wouldn't honestly want to know their muse is a hardened, scantly clad (think cheap hooker), whip brandishing, chain smoking thing. I mean it now, speak truthfully - how many of you say the truth is what you'd really want being responsible for your grand inspired ideas?
Would your boss really want to know that the muse resposible for the company saving idea wasn't some haze covered goddess, but instead was a hooker-clone freak?
That's right my friend. They're not human, they never were, and they never will be. But you didn't hear it from me...ok?
