New forums - Age Break
Considering setting up an area for younger art enthusiasts with the new forums I'm going to switch to - just a few forums for siblings/children of main forum participants to share their art loves too. One with language filters intact and no nudity. Also going to setup a separate childrens gallery for those that would like to share their images and the like. Question is, do RoS forum goers think it's a good idea - and if so, where should I place the age break? Cause remember, on the "adult" side of the forums, it'll be like here, with occasional nudity in promo images and WIPs and the like. (adult image galleries will still be separate just as they are now) For the Age break options in the poll - it would be users at/below the listed age would only be able to see the restricted childrens area of the new forums......and since I don't have any...I'm trusting other people's general judgement on this issue. Otherwise, my planned age break for admission into the regular forums is going to be age 17+, anyone below that will only see the younger area. So let me know what you think. Thanks!

By 13 if they haven't been told about sex, it's their parents fault! They need to learn it somewhere, may as well be here with us kind and gentle know-it-alls.

As for violence, they'll see far worse on the playground and nightly news.

Like we do anything violent around here.....

I know I can set the age filter for just a few boards....but I don't know about the language part....course, we all know I turned off certain ones on these boards cause I wanted to...so...yeah....

And 17+ is cause I'm getting old and cranky.

Ah, well, just one thing-

If we set it at seventeen, I won't be old enough! XD But, er, I do want the environment to be mature and adult-only too, so I don't like 13 either. So, with that in mind, could I ask those that voted seventeen to revert it to sixteen for my sake? (I'll be seventeen in April! I'm going as fast as I can! D:)

Hurf-durf; I was also hoping that our little spriting group would still get a private place regardless of age, though. Will that still be the case? Or am I reading too fast and missing things, ahaha.... ;_;

My english essay is almost done, though. :3 So I won't be HARGLARGING so much in a while.

I voted 13; because my two young daughters (11 & 7 currently) are quite comfortable with seeing the occaisional naked Viki standing about, waiting to do her thing.

They are also accustomed to "age specific" things, like the anime shows that we watch, Victoria's Secret catalogs, ...

Voted for 13. Nowadays when you're 13 years old, you've seen everything, you're not innocent anymore, and a bit of blood on chopped off head or nekkid breast of Vicky is nothing compared to stuff one can easily see at TV, be it news or "no parents' advisory" movies.

No panic Komodo....this vote is just for the children specific area, general forums will have what has been discussed already (though, I may need to update that posting)

And like I said, for the truly more "adult" content we might want to share on occasion, will be a separate forum/gallery for such cause I know not every "adult" wants to see it either....so we should be good to go.
